I don’t want to wake up and find out my Twitter account is gone for good so here are some steps I will be taking, so you should to.
No mischief
No talking to guys who are up to no good, no controversial stuff, no spam, Act DECENT.
Read Twitter’s TOS atleast 3 times.
Twitter can still ban you, tell you nothing and no human will be reachable, under such circumstances, I propose these solutions:
Twitter Premium + & Country
Subscribe to premium plus, change your country to a more “trustful” one, ensure your payment option goes through without any issues and have a trusted carrier.
Concierge
Unless you know someone at Twitter HQ, you will only be able to fill forms on niche problems. I haven’t seen any “X Support” Twitter accounts or any chat/phone/email contact information that is public.
So you should find a contact at TwitterHQ that can send your grievances to the correct department. It’s a must for big accounts.
Premium
Update 12/5/2023: They seem to respond at this handle if you have premium subscription.
Email Lists (Distribution)
Emails are by far the best way to reach your audience that isn’t depended on any single platform. Collect Emails from the get go, have a newsletter of sorts (high quality, low frequency). Use Converterkit and Substack.
Backup the emails from time to time also. Just export them to csv and put timestamps on it.
Keep one standard email for twitter things and make sure who needs to know, knows it.
PGP (Identity)
The primary proof of your identity for your audience will be a username and email.
But I recommend having a PGP Fingerprint as well. If you are not familiar with PGP, this video by new oil is pretty good. Just skip to 6:50 (for linux), 11:26 (for mac), and 14:04 (for windows) if you want to know the how and not the why. These notes by him are also nice. I also Recommend creating a keybase account, connect all your accounts and domain name to it. Export your private key and keep it somewhere safe. Install the app on your personal computer and mobile.

Domain Name
Unless you are doing something very illegal ISP’s would not block you, so please have one domain and keep it consistent. I trust Namecheap as it provides WHO IS protection free with domain name.
Hosting
Doesn’t matter where you host the website, you can change the hosting provider anytime and in most cases, restore SEO graph as well. Just have site backups.
Diversification
Don’t just have one twitter account, give telegram ID’s to friends and once big enough start a YouTube channel and an Instagram. Alternate communication channels are a must.
Can even give VOIP numbers to inner circle.
Twitter from 0
Twitter rugged me, now what? People will still remember your name if you provided immense value. So make a new account fast, tweet and tag people and make sure they start following you ONLY from the twitter timeline to keep the algo lord happy.
If it took you 6 months, You maybe able to recover the following in 1 (not too sure though).
File reports to twitter support, do not stop nagging them. Attack from every communication channel they provide.
Tell your high follower friends to tag support and apply pressure.
Alts
Start an alternate account that is somewhat similar to your main account with different phone and email. Provide different stuff from your main account but similar enough for your audience.
