Its not, that the people don't care about privacy,
its just that, they don't know,
they are giving away their rights to it, when they go about, on the internet.
Once people realize, posting their entire lives on Instagram can become quite dangerous and has real life consequences, fear often creaps in and then, they hurry to youtube channels like Techlore and the like.
The right to privacy is litterelly the 4th amendment of the consitution of United States.
One can debate whether the legal system was a bad invention or not but it definately protects us from the worst of human nature.
It was indeed the best invention, at that time, THE founding fathers were no fools.
All costitutions are based on USA's, so if you haven't read it, you should, its litterly just 19 pages, all others have their countries' context in them,
You should be familiar with the structure of yours as well, other than that of USA, all else are somewhat bloated or corrupted by bribery / European / Anglosaxon Feudalism, and of course follow some landmark cases & bills in the subject if your chosing.
We are
stories of data,
our identity and personailty defines us.
Even in villages and close knit communities we STILL like to have privacy. You don't want to share, your most intimate moments with everyone.
We learn by making mistakes, once we know that we are being watched, we tend to be more cautious, and try to make way less mistakes, and hence don't learn nor innovate.
Why is that, we feel creeped out, once we realize someone is stalking us?
Why are we so addamant to want, to protect our data & privacy?
The answer is very simple yet, not so clear, when you think about it.
